Strange Sports
Wow. I've gone from mild disinterest, but still hoping for a close-to-hometown victory (since the actual hometown team was less than stellar), to hoping the Oilers can pull it out. We did get to see the 3rd period and the overtime in last Wednesday's turnaround game while in Montreal.Actually, the thing that surprised me the most about the sports coverage there was the omnipresence of the World Cup. You would have been excused from thinking that you had been transported to BrasÃlia from all of the flags seen on the streets (and from windows, and balconies).
